New Zealand's Olympic medal tally increases again! A
bronzed day as Nick Willis won the bronze in the 1500m and Bevan
Docherty in the triathon. Add them to our "Super Saturday"
successes, and we have quite the line up of Olympic
champions!
Here's a rundown of what you can catch up on if you've missed the
action....
NZ GOLD:
Tom Ashley claims New Zealand's third gold in the
RS-X windsurfing.
Unexpected for some, but probably not for Ashley himself.
NZ GOLD:
Vili becomes an Olympic champion in women's shot
put final.
Magnificent Valerie Vili did everything she needed to do with her
very first throw of the competition. Watch her effort, celebrations
and interview here.
NZ GOLD:
Caroline and Georgina Evers-Swindell go back to
back in the double sculls.
The twins did it again. Just. Only just! A heart-stopping
finish thrilled the nation.
NZ SILVER:
A hard earned silver for Hayden Roulston in
the 4000m individual pursuit.
Roulston wasn't a cert for a medal but he came up with the goods
impressively to reach his head to head final against Britain's
experienced Bradley Wiggins where he was effectively free-rolling
for a gold.
NZ BRONZE :
Nick
Willis broke NZ's track medal drought
with a
bronze in the 1500m.
Willis looked relaxed - possibly too relaxed for the
viewers at home! - but he came through with a strong
finish.
NZ BRONZE:
Bevan Docherty added bronze to his silver at
Athens in the men's triathlon.
Docherty was bidding for gold but in the end he was out sprinted by
Germany's Jan Frodeno and Simon Whitefield of Canada in a
thriller.
NZ BRONZE:
Pursuit team cruise to bronze
in the men's track team pursuit finals results
Taken from the Aussies! The Kiwi men's pursuit
combination collects the bronze after easily beating Australia in
the third place play-off.
NZ BRONZE:
Mahe Drysdale earns a medal despite
suffering.
The poor guy was sick as a dog okay! You should see the state he
was in afterwards. A gutsy performance by New Zealand's
talisman.
NZ BRONZE:
George Bridgewater and Nathan Twaddle showed their
chops in the Men's pair.
Less edge-of-your seat than the rest of the highlights but a
sterling effort nonetheless.
