Too Young To Die
We've all heard the message from the police and safety campaigns - young people, powerful cars and speed don't mix. Yet the tragedies just keep coming. Any week, pretty much anywhere, young New Zealanders are dying behind the wheel. Caleb Trembeth, 24, is one of the latest statistics, one of two passengers killed when the car they were travelling in failed to take a corner near Wanaka. His father pleads for politicians to embrace the need for a more radical crack down on young drivers, and for the public to embrace what might be seen as draconian measures. Caleb's father says we can't stop teenagers being teenagers but we can make them safer. John Sellwood reports.

Young Drivers Debate
Our panel discusses what restrictions - if any - could lower the country's rate of driving deaths among young people. Leo Mortimer, manager for safety legislation with the Ministry of Transport, joins transport researcher Jean-Paul Thull and young driver Mark Russ.

Reality Check
An educational trust in South Auckland has come up with an innovative scheme designed to halt wayward teenage drivers in their tracks. Appropriately, it's called "right track''. It's part of an alternative plan within the youth justice system and aims to confront participants with the most sombering of information and images possible. This story contains a number of graphic references.

All Blacks Coach
The decision will be made late Friday afternoon but these were your picks, as found in our straw poll.
