Black Sticks outmuscled by Chile
Jan 16, 2008

A more physical Chile has upset the New Zealand men's hockey team on the field and on the scoreboard.

The Black Sticks have been beaten 3-2 in the fourth and final test of the series in Pukekohe.

Coach Shane McLeod admits it got quite heated in the final stages as the visitors pushed the boundaries of fair play.

McLeod says players got frustrated as they were stopped from playing skillful hockey.

New Zealand won the series 3-1 and now turn their attentions to Japan, with the first test in that four-test series on Thursday night.
