The institution was Lake Alice, and out of it emerged a horror story.

Nearly 200 former patients have claimed psychiatrist Dr Selwyn Leeks abused them, saying they were given electric shock therapy as punishment for bad behaviour.

But while they have won $13 million in compensation, Leeks has still not been prosecuted, 30 years on.

Sunday exposes the Kiwi doctor accused of torturing screaming children with electric shocks while others were forced to watch.
