Poppy Montgomery received critical acclaim for her breakout
performance as Marilyn Monroe in the 2001 television movie,
"Blonde," and appeared for seven seasons as FBI agent Samantha
Spade on "Without a Trace."
A native of Sydney, Australia, Montgomery moved to Los Angeles at
age 18. Her first television appearances included "NYPD Blue"
and "Party of Five." Next, she appeared in the television
series "Relativity" and "The Beat."
She also had starring roles in the television movies "Raising
Waylon," on the Network, "Lying to be Perfect," "Murder in the
Hamptons," "Snow Wonder," and recently starred as "Harry Potter"
author J.K. Rowling in the TV movie "Magic Beyond Words: The JK
Rowling Story."
Montgomery's feature film credits include the independent movie "50
Ways to Leave Your Lover" and "Between."
