TV2's favourite fashionista, Betty Suarez (America Ferrera) is
back, and finds that everything is changing as she begins her new
job as associate features editor at Mode, in the new season
premiere of Ugly Betty.
Her new boss is her ex-boyfriend, Matt Hartley (Daniel Eric Gold),
who is still unhappy about their break-up. In addition, Betty's new
officemate, Megan (Smith Cho, Knight Rider), openly resents her,
while Marc (Michael Urie) is constantly undermining her because he
felt he was more deserving of the promotion.
Meanwhile, without Betty as his assistant, Daniel (Eric Mabius) is
adrift, still mourning the loss of his wife, Molly.
Betty tries to help Megan out on an assignment and connects with a
thoughtful insect jewellery designer, Olivia (Lynn Redgrave, Me,
Eloise), while Justin (Mark Indelicato) starts high school and is
victimised by bullies - but won't tell his mum, Hilda (Ana
Ortiz).
Claire Meade (Judith Light) is finding that her power struggle at
the company has her sitting pretty - for the moment - opposite
Wilhemina (Vanessa Williams), who lost her claim to the Meade
throne last season.
But office politics are not the only issues Wilhemina is facing, as
she receives an unexpected visitor at home.
