Taylor Daniel Lautner was born February 11, 1992 in Holland, Michigan.
Best known for his role as Jacob Black in Twilight, you may not know he's also a keen martial artist - which he studied from the ages of six through to thirteen.
He'd also done quite well in that discipline - he was ranked number one in the world for NASKA's Black Belt Open Forms, Musical Weapons, Traditional Weapons and Traditional Forms and, at the age of twelve, he won the Junior World Championships.
On the big screen, Lautner had roles in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D and Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
He's also had some success on the smaller screen too - in October 2008, Lautner played Christian Slater's son in the television series My Own Worst Enemy.
But that show was cancelled after only 9 episodes.
He'll be on screen for the following Twilight films - Eclipse and New Moon - after fighting to keep the role amid concerns he didn't have what it took to physically resemble Jacob during the transformations the character goes through in the latter books.
