The director of the first Twilight film, Catherine Hardwicke, has waded into the rumours of a romance between the film leads, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
In an interview with Time , Hardwicke says a romance did not take place on the set of the first movie.
"Nothing crossed the line while on the first film. I think it took a long time for Kristen to realise, OK, I've got to give this a go and really try to be with this person," Hardwicke says.
Hardwicke also says she told Pattinson "don't even think about having a romance with her (Stewart)" after he was cast as Edward Cullen.
"She's under 18. You will be arrested."
Just this month, a new set of pictures seems to have confirmed the rumours of a Twilight romance .
Popsugar.com snapped Pattinson and Stewart holding hands as they left Paris, where they have been as part of their global promotional tour for New Moon.
