About the show

Kiwiana is a light-hearted look at the growing craze for 'kiwiana' or things which represent the New Zealand way of life.

From film-makers to fashion designers, museum curators to comedians, everyone is joining in the search for our national icons.

It's a wide-ranging look at the icons of everyday Kiwi culture includes media personalities Gary McCormick, Ginette McDonald (Lynn of Tawa) and John Clarke (Fred Dagg); exhibition curators Richard Wolfe and John Perry; film director Peter Jackson; fashion designer Marilyn Sainty; artists Lisa Reihana and Judy Darragh; and many other well-known New Zealanders.

Kiwiana: Kiwi As takes another journey through Kiwiana, the things that represent the New Zealand way of life. It's an entertaining and informative look at the popular "icons" of New Zealand's unique culture.
