Pilots at Lufthansa renewed their threat to strike for four days
next week unless they can agree with the German flag carrier on
terms for arbitration.
A spokesman for the Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) pilots union said it
had not dropped its strike call as demanded by the airline, which
is keen to head off a walkout that could cost it tens of millions
of euros.
Lufthansa personnel chief Stefan Lauer has threatened to take the
union to court and seek damages unless it quickly cancels the
planned strike, which is due to start on April 13.
A short pilots' strike in February had cost the airline around $92
million, Lufthansa has said.
