There's no room at the inns in Southland this weekend.
The region is hosting the Burt Munro Motorcycle Challenge, which includes a hill race, sprint races and a street race in Wyndham. A beach race on Friday night was cancelled because of bad weather.
Southland Motorcycle Club official John Smart says the series means the region is packed to the rafters and there are no motel beds left in Wyndham, Gore or Invercargill.
Smart says there could be up to an extra 7000 people in Southland for the series and more than 250 bikes will be racing in the streets of Wyndham.
He says it's a big crowd-pulling event and very good for the province financially.
The land speed world record for under 1000cc motorbikes which Munro set in 1967 has never been beaten.
