Australia's national carrier Qantas has snapped up beauty Miranda Kerr to be its latest brand ambassador, joining the likes of John Travolta, Cathy Freeman and Mark Webber.
The jetsetting model said it was an honour to be chosen.
"I grew up with Qantas, which is such an iconic Australian brand," NSW-born Kerr said in a statement.
No doubt Qantas will hope Kerr can take its public image to new heights after a year hit by industrial relations woes and some technical difficulties.
"Miranda Kerr is one of the most photographed and recognisable people in the world," CEO Alan Joyce said.
"Miranda will make an outstanding contribution to the airline, the brand and its global reputation for premium service and excellence."
It remains unclear how Kerr, married to UK actor Orlando Bloom, will represent the airline, though she is known to spruik products and events via her Twitter account.
And she already has something in common with Qantas.
"Miranda's all-time favorite colour is red," says her official website.
