A German girl who wanted to avoid the hassle of house-hunting in Berlin and meet new people plans to sleep on a different stranger's couch every night for the duration of her stay - 90 days.

Having previously spent a lonely four months in Munich, 25-year-old Christine Neder said she was determined to surround herself with friends in Berlin during her three-month internship and so decided to "sofa surf" her way around the city.

"I thought it would be really nice to meet lots of people, get to know the different areas of Berlin and hear stories about many different things," the aspiring fashion designer said.

Finding the free accommodation on internet platforms like Facebook and Couchsurfing.com, Neder has been getting invitations on her blog from people interested in her experiment.

Moving daily, Neder says she lives out of a small suitcase and her car. She keeps a record of every flat she stays in with photos, and hopes to write a book about her adventure.

Although her new lifestyle has taken some getting used to, 15 days into her experiment she is yet to have a bad experience.

Whilst Neder is enjoying the experience for now, she says "I cannot do this my whole life long, 90 days is enough."
