Meet the hosts - Mikey Havoc
Radio host and presenter Mikey Havoc is "Absolutely over the moon" to be involved in Top Town 2009. He has fond memories of the original series, which he says, "Was an essential ingredient of summer, personifying the Kiwi spirit and giving things a go, not for prize money or a medal but for the pride of your town."
Mikey has been presenting for radio and television since the early nineties, as breakfast host for Auckland's 95bFM radio station, and his debut TV series Havoc for MTV. The show moved to TV2 where he continued with Havoc and Newsboy's Sellout Tour and Havoc's Luxury Suites and Conference Facilities.
Since then he has appeared on TV2's celebrity adventure show Shock Treatment, So You Wanna Be A Popstar, Out of the Question, and three series of The Amazing, Extraordinary Friends.
He is also active on the theatre circuit, appearing in the Rocky Horror Picture Show for the Auckland Theatre Company in 2002 and hosting a sell-out season of It's In The Bag for the Auckland Festival in 2003. He has hosted bFM's breakfast show for 11 years and is currently filming the documentary series Are You My Tribe for TV ONE.
