About the show
Sundays at 6.30pm
"The War at Home" follows a husband and wife who constantly battle with their three teenage kids to keep them in line.
Starring Michael Rapaport ("Hitch," "Friends"), Anita Barone
("Daddio," "The Jeff Foxworthy Show"), Kaylee DeFer ("The
Mountain"), Kyle Sullivan ("Malcolm in the Middle,"), Dean Collins
("Jack & Bobby," "MADtv") and Rami Malek ("Over There").
When Dave (Rapaport) and Vicky (Barone) were growing up, their
parents had it easy. Back then, there were no "time-outs"; no
one had any "boundaries"; and "parenting" wasn't even a word.
Parents also had no idea what their kids were really up to;
ignorance truly was bliss. Now Dave and Vicky have teenagers
of their own, and anything their kids might even think about doing,
Dave and Vicky have already done...at least twice. But
knowledge isn't power - it's a giant pain! And while Dave
wants to be sensitive and politically correct, he's finding it
difficult to deal with issues at home.
Fifteen-year-old Larry (Sullivan) and his best friend, Kenny
(Malek), have just entered an awkward stage in their lives--one
that may or may not ever end - while 16-year-old Hillary (DeFer) is
an adult with training wheels and someone who thinks she knows much
more than other adults, especially her parents. Meanwhile, at
13, Mike (Collins) is all hormones and video games. Dave and
Vicky figure if they can send their three kids off to college
without a drug problem, police record or kids of their own, they've
done their job.
The show goes inside the heads of a modern family through the use
of a confessional space where the characters reveal everything they
could never actually say to one another - as they do their best to
win "The War at Home."
