Damon's new girl
And no, it's not Elena!
You may remember our article about how Ian Somerhalder spent his birthday filming shower scenes for the show.
We can now reveal that the lucky girl who filmed those scenes
with him is Damon's new girlfriend, Andie Starr, played by Dawn
Olivieri.
Andie is a TV reporter investigating Rose's killing spree who ends
up getting involved with Damon. We don't want to reveal too
much but it's safe to say a relationship with bad boy Damon will be
far from normal.
According to Dawn Oliveri, Andie is different to the other
girls who've fallen under Damon's spell.
"Andie is smarter than the girls you've seen him fall [for]. Andie
is a worthy opponent not in physicality, but in the mind," she told
TV Guide.
Ian Somerhalder agreed, describing Andie as "sharp, funny and
wildly sexy." Sounds like she's definitely a match
for Damon.
Dawn Oliveri also revealed what it was like to work with Ian
Somerhalder and it sounds....interesting.
When asked by TV Guide to describe him, she was a little lost for
words. "Is fantastical a word?" she asked. "He's very
passionate to the point where it's funny."
While Ian described working with Dawn as "lots of fun" and said they had an awesome time filming together.
