After ten intensive days on a magic crash course, the search for the next Sorcerer's Apprentice is reaching its conclusion. Who will be crowned the winner?

About the show

It's back and bigger than ever.  12 novice magicians in the toughest contest of their lives: it's a brand new series of Sorcerer's Apprentice with presenter Ortis Deley.

The 12 Sorcerees arrive at magic school and are immediately thrown in at the deep end. They have just two days to perfect their first magic subject - a trick with animals before two of them will be eliminated from the contest.

The girls begin learning how to make a bunny disappear whilst the boys try to make a real snake transform into a plastic one.   Elizabeth nearly commits the ultimate magic crime: revealing how the trick is done and the snake proves a slippery customer for Liverpudlian Toby.

To build their confidence with animals the Sorcerees are set a Crufts style dog agility challenge, but it's a tough ask for Holly and Tommy, who are scared of dogs.

Will they overcome their fear in time?

A master magician, the Sorcerer, is looking for an apprentice and has hand-picked six boys and six girls to attend his magic school where they will compete with each other for the title of The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Magic School is a huge manor set deep in the heart of the English countryside - a world apart from the one these 21st century children inhabit.

For two weeks, the kids will eat, live and breathe magic at this magical boarding school, miles from home. Over the gruelling fortnight they will battle it out, learning and performing a different magic trick every day, in their quest to be crowned The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

They're quickly transformed from image-obsessed boys and girls into 'sorcerees', swapping trendy clothes, hair gel and make-up for their magic school uniform.

World-famous magicians will be teaching the children their own unigue magic tricks and as soon as they arrive, teachers Mr Knight and Miss Evans waste no time in getting down to the business of instructing the basics of magic to their new trainees.

The school's guiding principles are dedication, discipline and detail - all three of which the sorcerees must learn to observe at all times. Before ling it's clear there are mountains to climb if the magic teachers are going to succeed in turning the lucky 12 into potential apprentices.
