Seth Cohen

Seth Cohen is wiseacre son to Sandy and Kirsten, grandson to Caleb Nichol, surrogate brother to Ryan and former boyfriend of Summer Roberts.
Before Ryan came into his life, Seth was a too-witty-for-his-own-good comics nerd with no friends. But his friendship with family adoptee Ryan changed all that.
Ryan and Seth also got up to various adventures last season, and just as Ryan helped Seth discover his assertive side, Seth helped bring Ryan down to earth a little bit.
Their friendship gave Seth the confidence to pursue the long-term object of his affection, Summer Roberts. But the relationship got off to a shaky start when comics-loving exchange student Anna came into his life and helped form a tangled love triangle.
But when Anna moved away, Seth and Summer finally got together properly, and become an almost irritatingly cute couple. But it all seemed so right. A few hurdles still remained however, such as the poor impression Seth made on Summer's stern father.
At the end of season one, when Ryan went back to live in Chino when he got Theresa pregnant, Seth flipped out and sailed away in his boat. Eventually convinced to return from Portland, where he was staying with Luke, Seth rejoined the family along with Ryan.
Last season, Seth dated sultry bar manager Alex, who later had a fling with Marissa. Seth also got a comic off the ground with Zach, who happened to be the new boyfriend of Seth's soulmate Summer.
Despite achieving some degree of success with their comic, the Summer factor proved unavoidable and she eventually chose Seth over Zach. As season two ended, after a couple of false starts, Seth and Summer were a committed couple. Finally.
