Cherie James is quickly making a name for herself within the New Zealand film and television industry with a number of impressive credits. In 2003 Cherie was nominated for Best Actress in a television series for her role in Mataku. Cherie's television credits include Mercy Peak, The James Gang Rides Again and The Billy T James Show.
In addition, Cherie has appeared in several short films and numerous stage productions including Auckland Theatre Company's Goldie and Red Fish, Blue Fish directed by Rebecca Hobbs. Cherie has had extensive acting training and graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Unitec in 2000.
