G.W. BAILEY

G.W. Bailey's career spans three decades and has resulted in a gallery of memorable and distinctive characters.  A native Texan, Bailey began his training at Texas Tech University and began his professional career at the prestigious Actor's Theatre of Louisville.

Bailey later traveled to Los Angeles, where he appeared in a string of guest-starring roles on episodic series and also continued his stage work.  Among his series television credits are "M*A*S*H" and "St. Elsewhere."  Bailey also starred in several television movies, such as the award-winning "Double Crossed" and "The Siege at Ruby Ridge."

Bailey's feature film career began with "Police Academy" and flourished with starring roles in such films as "Mannequin," "Short Circuit," "Burglar" and "Rustler's Rhapsody," among others.  Returning to academia in the mid-'90s, he graduated from Texas State University in 1994 and served as Artist in Residence for several years, working occasionally in Hollywood and on stage in New York.

He returned to series television briefly as a regular on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show."  Bailey appeared at the State Theatre as Richard Nixon in Larry L. King's "The Dead President Club," which he also directed, and in "A Man for All Seasons" at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  He also starred as the lead detective in the cable movie "A Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story" and guest starred on two episodes of the series "American Dreams."
