Review: Mercedes A-Class
The original Mark 1 A-class, had a difficult birth. The now infamous 'elk test' revealed underlying problems with high-speed stability but Mercedes quickly solved them and the car went on to sell in the hundreds of thousands world wide.
The new mini-Merc A-Class has sweeping lines, a sophisticated urban personality and seems purpose built to be seen at posh hotels and fashion functions.
On the AA Torque Show, Roger Walker looks at the car's technical credentials, Emma Hart, girl about town, tests it's head turning powers and the AA Torque Show presents a world exclusive - the New Zealand version of the 'elk test'.
