Thomas Dekker as John Connor
Thomas Dekker was born in the Nevada desert to a Welsh mother who is a successful theatre actress and concert pianist, and a Dutch-American father who is a professional opera singer, painter, theatre director and actor. Dekker's family traveled throughout the world until Dekker was five years old, eventually settling in Los Angeles, where he was cast to sing for a national television commercial.
He went on to secure acting roles in both film and television projects, including the lead role in John Carpenter's "Village of the Damned." His voice was featured in the animated films "The Land Before Time" and the sequels to "An American Tail." After three seasons in the lead role of "Honey I Shrunk the Kids," Dekker landed a record deal at age 14.
In addition to creating music and acting, Dekker successfully wrote, directed and produced the feature film "Cotton Wool." He wrote, produced and directed "Arkane," a short film now being submitted to film festivals around the world.
A third-generation actor, Dekker was recently seen in the role of Zach on "Heroes."
Dekker lives in both Los Angeles and Nevada.
