Sharapova spotted on streets of Auckland

One of the most famous athletes in the world has arrived in New Zealand and already created a stir wandering the streets of Auckland.

Maria Sharapova is in the country ahead of the ASB tennis Classic, starting on Monday.

The glamorous Russian, a three-time Grand Slam title winner, is the top seed for the event.

She has been spied walking around downtown Auckland.

Meanwhile, the arrival of another former world number one Dinara Safina has been delayed due to the flight problems in and out of Europe.
