The New Zealand Fed Cup women's tennis team has suffered a blow with Marina Erakovic returning home.
The New Zealand number one suffered a thumb injury when she fell in the tournament hotel in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Despite her absence, New Zealand scored an easy win in its third match at the Asia/Oceania Group II.
The team accounted for Turkmenistan 3-0 without dropping a set as Emma Hayman defeated Guliahan Kadyrova 6-0 6-0 and Emily Fanning did the same in her match against Jahana Bayramova.
In the doubles Hayman and Abigail Guthrie won 6-4 6-1 over Anastasiya Prenko and Jenneta Halliyeva.
New Zealand play Singapore in their final pool match.
