Apple CEO Steve Jobs is set to finally put an end to the
speculation over the Apple tablet, as he unveils the company's
latest product on Thursday (NZT).
Curiousity about Apple's latest creation has reached fever pitch in
recent weeks. According to the rumors, the Apple tablet is a
multimedia-rich tablet computer that utilizes a more high-end
technology than the iPhone, the iPod or the iPod Touch. It's
designed to kill off the tablet aspirations of Intel, Dell,
Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft.
Analysts say that the Apple tablet will be ultra-thin, with a
multitouch screen, and be smaller than a notebook. They also
think it could be called an iSlate, iTablet or iPad.
The company has not revealed any other details about the
highly-anticipated product, but an event, in which its Apple tablet
computer will be unveiled, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
in San Francisco, for reporters has now been confirmed by the
company.
As usual, the company will not provide an official video stream
during the event. But there are numerous ways to tune in.
The easiest way to catch up-to-the-minute news is via live blogs,
which are packed with news, photos, and chatter. They include
Gizmodo and
Gdgt.
It's possible that someone will broadcast a live, pirate video
stream via UStream or Justin.TV, as has become common for past
Apple events. We'll check and embed or link to any we come
across.
Apple usually posts an archive video of its
launch events on its homepage and Apple Events Podcast
feed after they have finished.

Ok its got no camera and it doesn't multi-task, that said its still going to be a device everyone will want, you now see so many competitors are suddenly bringing out there own devices in hope to compete with the ipad but sadly they wont as the apple brand is what will keep the ipad far above anyone else. People talk about what it cant do but it is going to be the APPS that will define this device, you only have to look at the Wired App which is going to change the way we viewing news and media
