Spammers latch on to Jackson death

Michael Jackson's death is being used for malicious purposes in cyberspace.

Internet users are being sent website links and email attachments for the King of Pop carrying spam.

Symantec Security New Zealand product manager Rob Pregnell says events like Jackson's passing always seem to be prime targets for code authors.

Pregnell says social networking sites like Facebook are carrying links to viruses.

He says Twitter also has dangerous tweets.
