It's been called the final frontier of online dating and is being brought to the world by a small New Zealand web hosting company.
An online speed dating service is about to be launched involving a small Kiwi firm with the help of internet communications giant Skype.
When online dating came out, musician Dallas McKinley was first in line.
"I've got a nice smile, I'm tall, I'm a musician.k"
"I've probably been a bit of a veteran in the online dating scene right back from the Yahoo days," says McKinely.
But, having little success, he's about to try the next big thing.
Its called Skyecandy - a partnership between an Australian company and Kiwi internet firm Pop Media.
It uses free Skype technology available over the internet, which works like video phone.
"Speed dating now days is a popular thing to begin with, and this is just on an even bigger level, so i think it can go really large," says Natasha Misic from Pop Media.
It works by setting up video dates with other users based on the details you enter.
You log in and enter the details of what kind of person you're looking for.
With an estimated 14 million people using Skype at any one time, Pop Media has a lot of potential clients.
"It is the biggest communication tool, you know the most widely used in the world, so its quite big and we saw big potential in it because of that connection to Skype," says Misic.
The service is still in testing stages, but will be offically launched in the next few months.
