A life-like pop-singing robot has been unvieled at Tokyo's Digital Content Expo.

Named HRP-4C, the "cybernetic human" robot wears a yellow blouse and lip-syncs to a popular Japanese song Deatta Koro no Yo ni by Every Little Thing.

It was created by Yokoi Kazuhito of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology and Masaru Ishikawa of Tokyo University's IRT Laboratory in March 2009.

It took to the stage at the expo with a dance troupe, performing a routine produced by SAM from Jpop trio TRF.
