Call for review into Crown forestry trust’s million dollar legal costs

Labour is calling for an immediate review of the Crown Forest Rental Trust (CFRT) after revelations that millions of dollars earmarked for treaty claims is spent on legal costs. The Court of Appeal has described such spending as unacceptable. The expensive and protracted dispute is being fought between two national Māori organisations.
