Man charged over Otara murder appears in court
36-year-old Robert Timothy Rapana is charged with the murder of Chevy Davis and the grievous bodily harm of Mr Davis' cousin who is still in Middlemore Hospital. Mary Tini Togiaono, also 36, appeared in court charged with accessory after the fact. Mr Davis and his cousin were attending a relatives 21st birthday overnight Saturday when a disagreement broke.
