Hinerangi Goodman has more than 20 years’ experience in broadcasting. Her first venture into the sector was as a radio host and news reporter for local station Irirangi Aotearoa in Auckland. She was also a pioneer in launching the nation’s very first national Māori radio station in 1989 when Irirangi Aotearoa broadcasted to the country.

Hinerangi has been a Reporter for Te Karere most of the time based in Auckland - closer to her tribal roots of Tuhoe and Ngati Whare. In 2008, she was appointed as the Waiariki/Bay of Plenty correspondent, responsible for the greater Waiariki region alongside Ngahuia Wade.
