Walk the Talk
We have finished a 12 week "Walk the Talk" Healthy Living Movement among the Tagata Pasifika staff
The series featured as a regular story updates on Tagata Pasifika
6 members (ranging from overweight to obese - one has just been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes) of the Tagata Pasifika team improved their health by losing weight through diet and exercise.
There was three types of exercise plans:
Cost - Gym/Personal trainers
Low cost - Community/church group Zumba

No cost - Walking, running, park circuit

- John Utanga Fight Night Corporate Boxing training at Ringside with PT (Cost)
- Marama Papau & John Pulu Community training, (Zumba), and home training (Low Cost)
- Adrian Stevanon & Ngaire Fuata No cost training (road running, skipping, body resistance program) (No Cost)
No cost Workout 1 (10min) - 4 exercises done 4 times. (1.Burpee 2.Pullups 3.Squats 4. Pushups)
- 1st time, each exercise 60sec long, 2nd time - 45sec long, 3rd time - 30sec long, 4th time - 15sec long
No cost Workout 2 (30min) - 3 exercises done 8 times. ( 1. 10 x Woodchops 2. 15 x Ball slams 3. 10 Burpees)
No cost Workout 4 (40min) - 6 exercises
done 5 times. (
1. 10 x Burpees
