Shimpal Lelisi
Shimpal Lelisi has been a special reporter for Tagata Pasifika since 2004/05. Born in Niue, Shimpal arrived in New Zealand at the age of 4 where he quickly learnt English and the art of comedy acting.
An integral member of the comedy act Naked Samoans, Shimpal is also an accomplished actor having appeared on stage and in numerous TV shows and feature films, most memorably in the role of Sefa in "Sione's Wedding". As well as performing and writing for the hit series "Bro' Town" , renaissance man Shimpal is also an occasional director having directed the "Roady" music video for Fat Freddys Drop, as well as the Niue Stage at this year's PolyFest.
