Angela Tiatia
Tagata Pasifika's Presenter, Angela Tiatia grew up in the
Pacific communities in South Auckland. Angela is no stranger to our
screens having appeared on TV, and many modelling
assignments.
Angela was raised in Otara for her younger years and later moved
to Manukau. "Being together as a family is always really
important for us," Angela says.
"I was also raised in Savaii, Samoa at Fagamalo and Lelepa Villages, with my grandmother who lived there, we would spend time with her and help look after her" Angela remembers.
Angela really enjoys working as part of Tagata Pasifika and helps her to be further involved with PI communities of Aotearoa.
Being Pacific is an important aspect of my life and one that forms so much of what I do, just as other equally important aspects - being a woman and a global citizen - all of which fill in the pieces of my life.
Angela started out as a model when she was 17 and then slowly moved into acting work including, Shortland St, Sione's Wedding, Street Legal, Rapa Nui, Xena and Hercules.
