About the show
Every week Supernanny Jo Frost promises to transform the lives of a different family and put a stop to the unruly and bad behaviour of children who are driving their parents insane.
Frost tackles a range of problem children from terrible tweens to troublesome teenagers. In her frank and up-front style, she forces each family to confront the real issues behind the trouble-some behaviour.
Jo Frost uses 16-years of nannying experience to help families gain control over their children.
Supernanny has become an international phenomenon, with parents worldwide using Jo's techniques in their own home. Jo has since published a book containing her secrets for successful child rearing.
'I didn't actually write it, I dictated it over the phone," she explains. "I spent over 70 hours on the phone. They wanted the book to come out on a certain date, so they arranged for a lady to touch type it while I spoke. I was very particular about what was written in the book."
For Frost, the challenge of writing a book was surprisingly easy. "It wasn't a problem for me - I can talk the hind legs off a donkey, so 70 hours on the phone was easy."
