They might consider themselves paragons of manhood, but increasing
numbers of Kiwi males can't make the muster. They have the lowest
fertility on the planet, their sperm counts are down a massive 50%
in just 20 years. For thousands of Kiwi couples trying to
procreate, the shortage of sperm can come as a shock for many men,
a blow to their masculinity. SUNDAY examines why one in five men
need help to get their partners pregnant.

Ban cheap drink promotions in the pub, stop the supermarkets from
selling alcohol - the cry has gone out in Britain as they try to
reclaim the high streets from the drunks and the violent. In Oldham
alone there has been a 200% increase in serious violent incidents
this year - that's a stabbing or assault with intention to kill
every Friday and Saturday night. And if bars don't fall into line
they'll introduce a Post Office style queuing system to control
drinking...
