Wrong place, wrong time
It's a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time
for Yvonne Jeffries (Alison Quigan) and her daughter Maia (Anna
they are caught up in a terrifying hold-up.
Desperate to ensure everyone makes it out safe and sound, Yvonne and Maia must play their cards just right.
When visiting her local building society to open an account there for her granchild Jay, Yvonne is shocked when two masked intruders burst in armed with a grenade and crowbar.
The intimidating thieves intend on quickly gathering their loot and exiting, but things don't go exactly according to plan.
"When the police arrive, the robbers realise that they are in some deep trouble," says Quigan. "So in a snap decision, Darren (Nathan Rimell) and Sandra (Dena Kennedy) decide to keep everyone hostage."
Aware that the situation is getting worse by the second, Yvonne desperately attempts to get through to Sandra in the hope that they make a connection.
But when she realises they are drug addicts, Yvonne despairs that negotiation with them may be futile.
Meanwhile, a concerned Maia (Anna Jullienne) begins putting pieces together and realising that her mother may be involved in the hostage situation, desperately rushes down to the scene.
"When Maia learns that Yvonne is trapped inside, she quickly decides that she must take the matter into her own hands," says Jullienne.
Before anyone can prevent her, Maia slips past the police cordon and dangerously rushes into the bank.
Once inside the establishment, Maia does her best to defuse the tension. Pleading with Darren to come to a compromise, Maia shockingly asks him to release the other hostages but keep her.
