We’ve got talent!
A great big congratulations to Shortland Street's very own Amanda Billing (Sarah Potts) who has been nominated as a finalist for this year's New Zealand Television Awards!
The New Zealand Television Awards are presented annually to recognise and celebrate the very best of talent and achievement in New Zealand’s Television industry.
Amanda is representing Shortland Street with her nomination for the Best Actress award for her role as feisty working mum Sarah Potts.
And in a twist, her fellow nominees are two actresses who’ve previously featured on Shorty!
Sara Wiseman played surgeon Jennifer Mason, the woman responsible for tempting Maia Jeffries away from girlfriend Nicole, and she’s up for her role as New Zealand suffragette Kate Shepherd in What Really Happened – Votes for Women
Also in the running is Kate Elliot who had a memorable turn playing Luke Durville’s Romanian fiancée Zlata Waldheim and she’s nominated for her performance as author Katherine Mansfield in Bliss - The Beginning of Katherine Mansfield.
This year's awards will be presented on Saturday, 3 November, withhighlights to screen on
TV ONE
on Sunday, 4 November.
We’ll be crossing our fingers for Amanda on the day but we also wish the best of luck to all the nominees!
