Winston chooses not to back up Celeste's allegations against must to Brooke's relief.
Brooke secures her position at Shortland Street, but Rachel gives her a warning to keep her nose clean.
Brooke is troubled when Celeste cryptically states Winston will be "dealt with" back in Korea, and that Brooke should watch her back.
However, Celeste is surprisingly forgiving with Winston, and convinces him to return to Korea with her to continue working for Tan Chee.
Winston is thrilled, but Brooke urges him not to fall into the trap and to remain in Ferndale.
Winston takes her advice and snubs Celeste, who is furious.
Wendy's stress levels go up when she learns her dad might have cancer, and Murray suggests taking time off to go and visit.
Left on his own, Murray is given pause when a guest complains about insect bites, and Winston confirms he's had problems too.
Murray calls in an investigator, and is alarmed to discover bedbugs.
When Jill reports Vinnie's complaints to Mona, shes pleased her plan to get evicted is working.
Mona makes a point of complaining about Lana's cooking smells, criticises the work Lana's done on her jacket, and leaves Lana feeling tense.
To Vinnie's disbelief, Jill urges him to play nice with Mona until Callum gets back.
Vinnie tries to stay cool, but he's frustrated when he learns Mona is dumping chores on Lana.
Mona then ups her campaign of irritation, complaining about Vinnie's loud music and causing him to get locked out of his flat.
Vinnie vents to Jill he's had enough, and a sympathetic Rachel reveals Mona's plan to Jill.
Mona and Lana bond, and when Jill confronts Mona about her plan,
Lana defends her to Vinnie's disbelief - and suggests that Vinnie
leave the flat.
Tuesday 27th September (4843)
Wendy worries about leaving town with Bella still refusing to take beta blockers so Murray convinces Bella not to go out clubbing.
Wendy is pleased and leaves to be with her parents.
Murray enlists Bella to get rid of the last of the diners before the pest control servicemen arrive.
However Rachel, Chris and some important guests remain in the restaurant. Bella is forced to distract their attention and makes a complete idiot of herself in the process.
The men eradicate the bed bugs, but unbeknown to anyone, Phoenix transfers a picture frame, and with it the infestation, to the Warner house.
Despite sleepless days and nights with the baby, TK begins an ED night shift.
He worries when Maxwell demands the highest of standards and implements new throughput goals.
Maxwell then suggests ways in which TK can improve his workflow and TK feels remiss for not being more on the ball.
He talks through his concerns with Maxwell, who surprises him by praising him and offering him HOD training.
Realising she hasnt been a lot of fun of late, Gabrielle decides to go out night-clubbing with Vinnie, Luke, Nicole and Jonathon.
The night starts well, until Gabrielle becomes pedantic about noise levels, insisting she wears earplugs.
Jonathon struggles and resorts to teasing Luke for entertainment which Gabrielle finds this disturbing.
Eventually it becomes too much for them both to endure and Gabrielle takes the easy option of leaving with Nicole who has decided to go home.
Jonathon is disappointed and Luke and Vinnie encourage him to be more give and take with Gabrielle.
When he, Vinnie and Luke arrive home drunk and rowdy, Jonathon ends up telling Gabrielle that she doesnt understand him.
Gabrielle is hurt and suggests they break up.
Wednesday 28th September (4844)
Jonathon feels bad for his hurtful comments to Gabrielle.
Vinnie reassures him but they're interrupted by the police who demand to take them in for questioning.
Jonathon insists their road cone stealing was just a bit of fun but Gabrielle sees this as proof that their prank was not funny.
Gabrielle confides in Nicole that the differences between her and Jonathon are becoming more apparent over time.
Jonathon apologises to Gabrielle and is relieved they're talking things through. He suggests they go on holiday together.
Jonathon's surprised when Gabrielle insists he should take the holiday alone and they'll reevaluate their relationship on his return.
TK's busy running the ED, determined to stay on top of things but Maxwell watches his micromanaging with interest.
Roimata and Jill comment on how tired TK looks. TK assures them he's fine and offers to do Tillie's night feeds again.
Maxwell confronts TK on micromanaging the team insisting its causing their through put figures to be low.
TK is frazzled and tries hard to meet Maxwell's expectations but is frustrated to be pulled up by Maxwell again.
Nicole's concerned and confronts Maxwell, accusing him of pushing TK too hard. Maxwell insists he doesn't want to lag behind Australian ED standards.
Nicole accepts this and Maxwell feels bad for not telling Nicole the whole truth.
Luke wants his toupee back and is dismayed when Vinnie and Jonathon admit they don't have it.
Bella finds out that Luke and Zlata are having pre-marriage counselling with a Catholic priest and she's concerned about Zlata's demands on Luke.
Luke admits to Bella he feels uncertain about a Catholic wedding but assures her he's happy to meet Zlata half way.
Bella's surprised to find Lukes exam full of exotic paraphernalia and knick knacks. Luke explains that Zlata doesn't like them.
Later Bella finds Zlata throwing all Luke's voodoo paraphernalia away.
Bella declares that Zlata would never demand Luke make changes if she really loved him and accuses Zlata of using him.
Luke arrives and insists that he is happy and committed to Zlata. He promises Zlata he'll do anything required to keep her happy.
Fed up, Luke demands Bella stop interfering in their relationship.
Thursday 29th September (4845)
Bella frets that she has ruined her friendship with Luke and Lana's concerned by the extent of her upset.
Lana tells Luke that Bella only interfered because she cares about him and Luke is left with food for thought.
Meanwhile, Bella realises the need to back off and stay out of Luke and Zlata's life.
She assures Luke that she intends to do so and they reconcile.
But when Luke is pained at giving up his taxidermy, she salvages it from the rubbish skip for him.
Though determined to Winston, Brooke is dismayed when he admits that hed really like to get a nursing job at Shortland Street where he knows people.
But then he laments that Vasa wont hire him after his meltdown over Brooke and Alex.
Brookes relief is short-lived as Winston asks that she go into bat for him with Vasa.
Brooke reluctantly does so and Vasa suggests Winston front up himself.
During his interview, Winston becomes so entranced by the authoritative Vasa that he's struck dumb and Vasa sends him packing.
Now determined to work for this alpha female, Winston returns and is delighted when he manages to turn Vasa around and secure a temporary position.
When Nicole suggests Maxwell's doing extra prep so he can impress a visiting Australian doctor, he's quick to shut her down.
Later, Nicole is unsettled when it emerges that the Australian doctor is female, a Doctor Bethany Hall.
She can't help but feel a surge of paranoia that something went on between Bethany and Maxwell. He dismisses this, distracting her with romance.
In ED, Nicole is frustrated when Maxwell continues to give TK a hard time.
When Chris learns about the imminent arrival of Bethany, he quizzes Maxwell who is adamant that his relationship with Bethany was strictly professional.
Nicole's paranoia is reignited when she overhears Chris and Rachel speculating about a straying colleague.
When the Australian doctor arrives, Nicole's fears skyrocket -
she's convinced somethings going on between her man and the
stunning Bethany Hall.
Friday 30th September (4846)
Brooke is relieved when Winston seems focused on his new job
instead of on her.
However, Winston's true motivation for accepting a nursing position
is Vasa, whose abrupt and controlling manner he finds
irresistible.
He's pleased when he helps Vasa by promoting her rostered breaks
system to Rachel, but is concerned when the nurses react badly to
the idea.
Winston grows closer to Vasa when he sees her doing a good turn by
filling in the nurses' time sheets.
Brooke realises that Winston has replaced her with Vasa and
attempts to warn Vasa but Vasa is unconcerned.
Later, Winston tries to defend Vasa to an angry Jill by revealing
that Vasa's good deed with the time sheets.
Vasa overhears and is annoyed with Winston for making her look like
a soft touch.
Winston begs for another chance to prove himself and Vasa agrees -
if he spies on the nurses for her.
Phoenix is concerned when Jasmine becomes preoccupied with
death.
He tries to support her by reading depressing poetry but doesn't
understand the poems and appeals to Chris for help.
Chris gives him advice and Phoenix parrots it to Jasmine who is
impressed and delighted that he understands what she went
through.
However, when Jasmine refuses to hang out with Evan and Ula and
puts them down, Phoenix rebels and tells Jasmine that he doesn't
want to share her obsession with death.
Jasmine is upset and they end up estranged, much to Phoenix's
dismay.
Nicole is furious that Maxwell has misrepresented Bethany but
Maxwell defends that Bethany's looks meant nothing to him.
He reassures that Nicole is the only woman for him and Nicole
accepts that shes been silly.
However, through working with Bethany and Maxwell and witnessing
their fiery professional rivalry, Nicole's paranoia grows.
Nicole tries to keep a lid on it but when Bethany deliberately
reveals that she and Maxwell socialised in Australia, Nicole's
jealousy resurfaces and she makes an embarrassing scene where she
lays claim to Maxwell.
Maxwell is unimpressed and Nicole feels terrible for allowing her
paranoia to get the better of her.
