A novel approach
It's a very big week for award winning actress Kate Elliot as she plays two very different roles on TV ONE and TV2 this weekend.
First up, Elliott joins the cast of Shortland Street as the feisty Romanian Zlata Waldheim on Friday.
Then she'll be playing legendary New Zealand writer Katherine Mansfield in Bliss as part of The Sunday Theatre - The Audi New Zealand Season.
Bliss is the true story of 19-year-old Katherine Mansfield's escape from New Zealand, and the fast and furious beginning of her life as a writer.
One hundred years later, Katherine Mansfield is still New
Zealand's most famous writer.
Sunday Theatre - The Audi New Zealand Season: Bliss is the story of her brave, scandalous and triumphant beginning.
Best Actress award winner at the 2006 Qantas Film and TV awards for her role in The Insiders Guide to Love, Elliott boasts an impressive CV which also includes roles in The Cult and Xena.
She brings this depth of experience to both her roles and
Elliott says playing new characters is something she hugely enjoys,
admitting "I love my job."
Elliott also revealed she is thoroughly enjoying her time on Shortland Street .
"Meeting all the cast members has been such a highlight so far," she says. "It really is a big family."
