My summer holiday
As Shortland Street returns to our screens this week, find out what your favourite cast got up to for their summer holidays.

When I'm in Hawke's Bay, I love to walk up Te Mata Peak every
day. Here's why! The view is breathtaking. Makes the hour and
ten minutes uphill climb SOOOOO worth it! And after that, you get
to walk down again!
We love to get a group of family and friends together and head
along for an evening picnic to the Black Barn Outdoor Cinema which
starts just after New Year.
Sitting in an outdoor amphitheatre, watching a movie on a huge
screen and drinking Black Barn Vineyard wine as the sun goes down
over Hawke's Bay.
My friend Bex and I who only see each other around Christmas time
are making the most of it! A gorgeous way to spend an evening!

My girlfriend and I did the Tongariro crossing over the
summer break for the first time since I was 13 and let me tell you
its a lot lot harder than then!
This photo is at the top of the devils staircase and as you can see
it was a beautiful day!
