Michael Galvin heads South with his award-winning play!
Station To Station is a theatrical hit crackling with wit and intelligence by Bruce Mason Award winning playwright and Shortland Street star, Michael Galvin (Dr Chris Warner).
He has recently taken the play on a tour of the North Island -
now it's the South Island's turn.
Station to Station is the first of Michael's plays to tour the South Island and is made possible through Creative New Zealand funding.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to enjoy New Zealand theatre at its finest.
Also starring Antonia Prebble (Outrageous Fortune) and Donogh
Rees (Shortland Street), Station to Station is the story of a
television presenter-turned-religious-zealot and his beautiful
sidekick, who take a mother and son on a rollercoaster ride from
Kiwi suburbia to Jerusalem.
Caught in a thrilling, dream-like journey the foursome negotiate a bewildering world in which nothing is quite what it seems and the most innocent actions can have explosive consequences!
North Island audiences who saw Station to Station in 2011 said...
" Absolute quality acting. Loved the deep layers of the story."
" ... Donogh Rees' laugh and lines are particularly memorable ..."
" Well written, well constructed and well acted, one of the best plays I have seen."
"Enjoyed it very much. Provoked lots of stimulating discussion in the car on the way home."
"Awesome! Fantastic! Thought provoking."
