Monday 5th December (4891)
A frightened Ula seeks Vasa's help with Jasmine. Vasa interrupts
Jasmine's attempt to contact Mrs Timmins' spirit and Jasmine is
furious.
Vasa is appalled by Jasmine's desecration of a dead patients body and informs Wendy who demands an explanation from her daughter. Jasmine explains her desire to know if life after death exists and Wendy realises that she hasn't helped Jasmine deal with her near-death experience. Wendy confides in Murray and he promises to counsel Jasmine through.
Meanwhile, Tom comforts Ula and a guilty Wendy tries to reassure her Jasmine will take most of the blame. Wendy feels even worse when Callum lays the majority of the blame for Jasmine's actions on Vasa.
Luke and Bella are delighted with their mutual love but are sobered by the thought of telling Zlata. Luke's prevented from doing so when he finds Zlata trying on her wedding dress.
Instead, he confesses to Costel who whisks him away to talk. But when Luke insists that he must cancel the wedding, Costel delivers a veiled threat. Luke is unsettled but his concerns increase when he learns Costel has taken Zlata and Bella to a different spa retreat.
Wanting to talk to Zlata and tell her face to face that he can't marry her, Luke frantically tries to locate them with Daniel and Lana's help.
Meanwhile, Bella starts to feel a little trapped at the spa. She
tries to put her unease aside and enjoy a relaxing massage only for
Costel to reveal himself as the masseuse. When he restrains her and
threatens her life, Bella is terrified.
Tuesday 6th December (4892)
Determined to remove the obstacle to Zlatas happiness, Costel begins suffocating Bella. Luke arrives, insists Zlata take him to Bella before they talk and they arrive just in time to stop Costel.
Zlata is devastated to realise her father is a violent criminal. But when Luke and Bellas love is revealed she has no one else to turn to and she decides to stand by Costel despite his crimes. Luke and Zlata have a passionate farewell.
Later, Luke and Bella kiss in front of a bemused Murray and Evan.
Maxwell is concerned Ulas positive behaviour will be set backdue to the incident with Jasmine and hes frustrated when Ula refuses to talk to him.
Its Nicole who finds herself in the hotseat when Ula comes to her to discuss her feelings about her job and her parents lack of understanding regarding Tom. Nicole reminds Ula of the importance of family and assures her Maxwell cares.
Ula takes Nicoles counsel onboard and Maxwell is relieved when he and Ula manage to reconnect. Learning he owes their breakthrough to Nicole, Maxwell tries to thank her, but Nicole backs him off, leaving Maxwell aware he still has a lot of ground to cover.
Vasa is frustrated when Callum refuses to let Ula keep her job and Wendy feels awful that Ulas punishment is harsher than Jasmines. Jasmine remains unrepentant, alienating Phoenix and Ula and angering Evan.
Wendy is concerned to see the other teens shunning Jasmine. She convinces Phoenix to make an effort to get through to Jasmine and Jasmine is moved by Phoenixs insight.
Meanwhile, Vasa continues to bear the brunt of Callums wrath,
and at the family meeting she feels Jasmines apology is insincere.
But Wendy continues to defend Jasmine. Vasa is disgusted to see
Wendy will be offering comfort food for Jasmine, and she viciously
rebukes Wendys parenting efforts. She blames Wendys poor mothering
skills for Jasmines appalling behaviour, leaving Wendy reeling.
Wednesday 7th December (4893)
Murray comforts Wendy after Vasas home truths and determines to
repair their family. Vasa feels bad when she learns about Bellas
ordeal and she apologises to Wendy for her harsh words.
As Bella recoups from her ordeal, she and Luke organise the cancellation of wedding bookings. Murrays family breakfast gets off to a rocky start when Jasmine continues to read a book about death. Wendy has a meltdown at runs off to cry. Murray blasts Jasmine for upsetting her mother, then counsels Jasmine until she reaches a breakthrough and admits that she doesnt want to die.
Apologies all round, then Murray welcomes Luke into the Cooper family. Murray is left feeling like his family is back on track.
Hunter is scraping by under the tutelage of registrars, but continues to avoid Gabrielle. Gabrielle corners Hunter and accuses him of sabotaging her research. On the spot, Hunter lies to her face, but Gabrielles not convinced.
Speaking with Callum, Gabrielle agrees to return to work on the condition she doesnt have to work with Hunter. Hunters rattled to learn Gabrielles going to be back in close proximity. It doesnt take long before they have a run-in, and a strung-out and paranoid Hunters anger starts to build.
When Vinnies missing his son at Christmas, Maxwell forcefully pressures him to get in contact. Vinnies reluctant, but Maxwell wont let up, determined to help Vinnie. Maxwell sends Vinnie a courier package - containing a pre-paid cellphone and a note urging him to call his son.
Privately touched by Maxwells thoughtfulness, Nicole insists on Vinnie making the call.
Maxwells attacked by a drunk patient in ED, and Nicole cant help defending him, breaking the patients finger in the process. Maxwells grateful, but Nicole flees, upset.
Roimata assumes Nicole is rattled after the altercation, but Nicole clarifies - shes upset because she still loves Maxwell.
Thursday 8th December (4894)
Maxwell feels bad that Nicole is facing punishment for
helping him when he was attacked by a patient. He tries to vouch
for her to Callum.
Nicole's struggling with her feelings for Maxwell. Insisting she's prepared to suffer what ever discipline shes due, she backs him off from helping her.
Deciding he can't let this go, Maxwell tells Callum to back Nicole up. Callum vows to support Nicole legally and she realises Maxwell has stood up for her.
Maxwell admits to Roimata that there is no chance that he'll repair his relationship with Nicole. Roimata knows Nicole's true feelings and counsels him to not give up, renewing Maxwell's hopes.
Lana's feelings for Daniel are reawakened when she sees him caring for Tillie. Bella notices and encourages Lana to be true to her heart.
Lana gets an offer to have the family beach house for the Christmas break. Bella cites her own experience with Luke as proof that if Lana likes Daniel, she should tell him and invite him to go away with her for Christmas.
Lana agrees and is galvanised to ask Daniel to go with her.
However, before she can ask, Daniel tells her he's been offered a
great work opportunity and will be working hard for the next few
months.
Lana is disappointed that once again she's missed her chance with
Daniel.
The tension between Hunter and Gabrielle is exacerbated when he overhears Gabrielle mention how difficult she finds him to deal with.
Callum wants to check Hunter's work, aware Hunter is on his last chance to complete this rotation. Hunter is finding it hard to keep focussed on his study due to his increasing drug intake, but manages to compile his work to present to Callum.
However he doesn't realise hes left half his notes next to the photocopier when he's distracted by Gabrielle.
A keyed up Hunter is beside himself when Callum points out his work is incomplete. Hunter insists someones taken the rest of his notes and rushes to the photocopier to retrieve them.
A highly paranoid Hunter jumps to the conclusion that Gabrielle
has taken them to undermine him. He confronts Gabrielle for
stealing his notes and, fuelled by his drugs, he physically attacks
her.
Friday 9th December (4895)
Hunter backs off from a terrified Gabrielle after Jill discovers
the altercation. She and Gabrielle go to Callum but Hunter
justifies his actions by claiming that Gabrielle stole his work to
get back at him for previous accusations.
Hunters paranoia leaves Callum with no choice but to dismiss Hunter
from his placement, effectively ending Hunters medical career.
Hunter reacts bitterly and Callum feels terrible.
He goes to see Hunter but Hunter has gone out on a bender with
Bailey and Callum guiltily takes the opportunity to search Hunters
belongings. He finds nothing but admits to Jill his fear that
Hunters problem could be drugs.
Meanwhile, with Bailey, Hunters drug problem gets even worse.
Daniel regrets missing his chance with Lana. Sarah encourages that
its not too late but, with Lana going away for the holidays, Daniel
fears that it is. Lana visits Gabrielle before she leaves for
Australia, but Gabrielle avoids mentioning her clash with Hunter,
to avoid spoiling Lanas trip.
After her departure, Daniel is thrown to learn from Bella that
Lana had planned to invite him, but didnt want to jeopardise his
career.
Vinnie accuses Brooke of being a grinch when she refuses to enter
into the Christmas spirit and decorate the medical ward. Brooke
changes her tune when Rachel, prompted by Vinnie , expresses an
interest.
The competition reignites sparks between Vinnie and Brooke, who
compare his big poor family experience with her spoiled only child
one. However Brooke scrambles because all of the hospitals old
Christmas decorations have been snapped up by other departments,
including the ED, and Brooke doesnt want to spend any of the money
the medical ward has saved via the green scheme.
Brooke resorts to stealing medical supplies meant for ED and turns
them into decorations that win praise. However she feels guilty
when Vinnie is impressed and draws closer to her.
Feeling like a fraud, Brooke flees. Vinnie pursues her, and,
thinking he has found her, kisses her. Both are shocked when the
blonde woman, who looks a lot like Brooke, identifies herself as
Brookes previously unknown sister Bree.
