Angela's fashion files
EXCLUSIVE: The gorgeous
Angela Bloomfield shares her
fashion and beauty tips exclusively with the official Shortland
Street website.
Skincare and makeup:
Right from the start of my acting career, skincare has been
important.
Wearing makeup every day under bright lights in an air conditioned
environment is hard on your skin.
My face is my pay cheque and I'm happy to have a nerdy skincare
regime.
My new BFF is Dermalogica. I cleanse, tone, hydrate and
moisturise twice a day.
I love their skin hydrating booster and have just started using
their barrier repair for redness and dryness.
I believe eye cream is essential as the skin around the eye is so
much more fragile.
I have also been told that our best anti-aging tactic is sun block.
I use Dermalogica's Dynamic skin recovery SPF 30 every morning.
Hair:
I think I'm a bit lucky in the hair department, as no matter
what a beating my hair takes with daily blow-waves, bleaching or
colouring, it doesnt seem to get too damaged.
I help it along though with my Kerastase products.
I got recommended the shampoo and conditioner for colour and heat
treated hair and they work a treat.
I believe splurging on skincare and hair care is a must for
women, with our busy lifestyles and polluted environments.
I find if my skin looks clean and clear then I feel stronger and
happier.
Favourite clothing:
I am in a new phase with my wardrobe, having come through two
pregnancies and chucking all my clothes from before, thinking I
would never fit them again.
I'm now feeling like I'm in better physical condition than I
thought you could be after having babies.
I'm trying to be braver in what I wear, finding a middle ground
between classical pieces and what's in fashion.
I love clothes and am a shopaholic.
I just purchased a black leather cropped jacket and love it.
My next purchase this winter will be some calf high boots.
Favourite jewellery:
My favourite jewellery at the moment is Kagi. I have a few of
her necklaces.
They're chunky and bold, and dress up with my monochromatic
wardrobe wonderfully.
Jewellery can really change the look of an outfit, whether it's to
dress up or to add variety, making a small wardrobe look
larger.
