Amelia Reid
Like many well-known New Zealand actors before her, Amelia Reid learnt her craft through the prestigious Toi Whakaari/ New Zealand Drama school, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts.
Whilst Toi Whakaari was where she honed her craft, Reid claims she
has been performing as long as she can remember, her debut
'on-stage' appearance being when she was only eight years old in
the World of Wearable Arts Awards.
She then went on to perform in these events for the next six years
and has been appearing in local theatres shows along the way.
Born and bred in Nelson, Reid first made the move to Wellington for
drama school and relocated to Auckland for her role on
Shortland Street.
A newbie to the world of television, Reid has had to learn the
ropes quickly but is thoroughly enjoying her role as ditzy new
receptionist, and oldest sibling of the Cooper clan, Bella.
