What does a Graphic Designer do?
I create all the graphic props that are seen in Shortland Street.
All logos, food/drink products, websites, newspapers and signage
etc.
How did you find yourself in the job?
I heard about it through a friend and thought it would be an
interesting area to get into. So I applied, interviewed and here I
am.
A typical day involves:
Usually I will get briefed by one of the three Art Directors and
then I will start on creating what we need for that week of
shooting. Every week is totally different and I am always getting
new challenging briefs to work on.
How long have you worked at Shortland
Street?
Five months now.
What do you love most about the job?
The variety of work and the amazingly creative people I get to work
with!
