Lee Donoghue
A starring role in a TVNZ advertising campaign when he was only eight years old gave Lee Donoghue his first taste of acting.
Although he didn't have many lines, Lee so enjoyed his time on set that he informed his parents that he planned to take up acting full-time when he grew up.
Born in Wellington, Lee says he has always been an extrovert and
was forever trying to find new ways to entertain friends and
family.
Having seen his performances, a friend of the family suggested his
mother take him to a talent agency, where he quickly gained work
acting in commercials.
From there he was given a small role in television mini-series
Fall Out where he played David Lange's son.
He then went on to take on roles in The Tribe and the British
production Atlantis High.
During this time he also took part in Young and Hungry, a youth
amateur theatre.
Lee was part way through gaining his qualifications from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, when he was offered the role of Hunter McKay, the wayward son of Callum and Justine McKay.
Lee has a passion for cars, motorcycles and Formula One
Racing.
He also enjoys catching up with his family when he gets the chance
to visit them in Wellington. He enjoys eating healthily, exercising
and playing with his cat Cyclops.
In 2009 Lee launched his own clothing label, SNAG clothing.
