Dancing with the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company and being part of the New Zealand Cheerleading team keeps Kimberley Crossman extremely busy, but she still found time to audition for and take on the part of Shortland Street's teen, Sophie McKay.
Kimberley has been dancing since she can remember, and has
performed on stage all her life.
Trained in several forms of dance including Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Ballet, she also participates in Gymnastics, Speech and Drama, indoor netball and even takes circus classes where she has learnt the art of trapeze.
One day Kimberley would love to give Dancing with the Stars a go!
After dislocating her elbow in a fall with the cheerleading
squad, Kimberley decided to concentrate on her acting until she was
able to get back to the squad.
She soon found herself auditioning for and winning the role of Sophie McKay.
Always looking for ways to strengthen her acting skills, Kimberley is currently participating in the two year Meisner drama course.
For the past five years Kimberley has represented New Zealand in competitive cheerleading, competing in both America and Australia. She trains with Total Cheerleading in Auckland and is headed to the Worlds in 2010.
