Cameron Jones only graduated from Toi Whakaari – NZ Drama School at the end of 2012, but already the talented actor has an extensive list of acting credits to his name.
Not only has Jones joined the cast of Shortland Street as daredevil ambulance officer, Dallas Adams, but he’s also had a part in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, as well as television roles in Passion in Paradise, Rounds and Nancy Wake – A Love Story (to be seen on TV One later this year).
Born in Auckland but raised in the Hawkes Bay, Jones got involved in drama while in Intermediate, but developed a strong passion for it when he began winning drama awards whilst at High School in Havelock North.
Along with his Bachelor of Arts in Acting from Toi Whakaari, Jones also spent a semester training at the Stella Adler Academy of Drama in Hollywood, Los Angeles in 2012.
Like his character, Jones has passion for adrenaline-based sports and the outdoors and includes surfing, going to the gym and watching NFL as a few of his main hobbies.
He’s also passionate about conserving the environment and is involved with an environmental group called Generation Zero, which works to educate people about climate change in New Zealand.
