Hadyn Jones has worked with TVNZ for around a decade and has recently has taken flight to the provinces to keep his wife happy and raise his two and a half children.
The third is due in May. "It's a glamorous life," he says. His New Plymouth bureau is run out of a spare bedroom, his voice booth is in a cupboard.
Friday drinks usually revolve fizzy and fish and chips with the kids. He has won awards (but what journalist hasn't, he says) and as he spends a lot of the time on the road, he knows where you can get a good milkshake in just about every town in New Zealand. A cold tin cup and ice-cream is key to keep the milk at a suitable temperature.
Hadyn has previously worked on Holmes, Close Up, CBC Television, 20/20 and One News. If he doesn't know what he's doing by now, he never will. He is the creator of ONE News' Good Sorts but not necessarily one himself.
